This is a truly stunning vintage wedding dress dating from the 1960s. I would describe this as a size 10-12 but please check my measurements.
It has 2 parts to this dress: one is a lovely satin like material, the other is a lace. The top part has a scooped neckline and has a flower lace overlay to the front and back. The lace is textured, slightly stretchy and has flowers within. It is an off white colour. The sleeves are also in the lace but this time unlined. They are 3/4 length and have been edged with a small delicate ruffle finish.
The skirt part is the satin like material in an ivory colour. This starts under the bustline giving it an empire line feel. It has embroidered flowers fotted all over with some having a silver lurex thread through them. This makes the dress simply sparkle. At the hemline there are more flowers and more silver. The skirt is a column shape which is very elegant.
The back of the dress has a zip to fasten it. The dress is unlined which makes it quite slinky. The train is the same lace as the top part and falls from the base of your back. It falls smoothly and has a curved edge also hemmed with the ruffles. It has a ribbon hook so you can hold it up when walking or dancing!! Above where the train starts there is a band of the satin at the back with the embroidery on...this makes a lovely feature and shows how well made it is.
It dates from the 1960s. It has no brand label and will have been made especially for the bride.
It is in stunning condition, no rips, tears, stains or odours.
It measures:
Dress: Bust: 36" Waist: 30" Hips: 40", Total length: 56". The train is 78" long from the base of the back where it starts. It is 62" wide at the widest point.
It is washed and aired.
Having tried the dress on myself, I would advise you to check the measurements. The satin falls beautifully over your body but as its slinky it will need to fit perfectly.
You are more than welcome to come and try this dress on. To arrange please call 07817 855287. I would prefer this as the dress needs to fit perfectly and it is quite small. If you cant do this then we offer full refunds but would much prefer to get it right first time!
