Pretty 1970s Peterson Maid wedding dress

This is a really pretty vintage wedding dress dating from the 1970s. I would describe this as a size 10-12 but please check my measurements.

It is an off white sheer fabric with a real 70s feel to it. Ii does date from the 1970s, probably mid decade. It has a sleeveless bodice which is covered up by a V shaped handkerchief piece of fabric which is repeated at the back. This is then mirrored down the dress with another V shape at knee level. On the higher one there are vertical rows of small white daisies appliqued on. These are repeated around the edges of both Vs as well as the hemline.

The neck is high which is rolled down. This is also edged with daisies. On the point of the top V and at the bottom of the vertical rows are larger flowers.

The dress has a back zip and 3 hook and eyes at the neck to fasten it.

The dress is fully lined and has a fine layer of netting under the skirt part in between the sheer fabric and the lining. This gives the skirt more shape.

It is very unusual and we love it for its simplicity yet hippy vibe.

The material is a nylon . It is beautifully made by Peterson Maid of London. 

It is in lovely condition. There are no marks, rips, tears or odours.

It is washed and aired with no odours.
