This is a truly elegant vintage wedding dress dating from the late 1960s. I would describe this as a size 10-12 but please check my measurements.
It is an ivory colour and very simple in its styling. This gives it its great elegant feel. It is made from a matt chiffon like material and is fully lined. It has a scoop neck and has an empire line. Under the bust there is a row of applique embroidered daisies which goes around the whole dress. The skirt then flares to the floor. Under the daisies the dress pleats beautifully meaning the dress drapes well.
The sleeves are half sleeves with a sheer chiffon frill at the cuff. The same flowers appear around the bottom of the sleeve before the sheer part.
It has a metal back zip and 2 hook and eye fastenings. The dress is lined in a heavier material which feels like a silky satin like material. There is no brand label within. There is a small train.
It is simple, elegant and unique. Perfect for Your Vintage Wedding. I have included a photo of the original bride taken in 1968.
It is in lovely condition. There are a few tiny holes near the hemline where possibly the bride caught the dress when wearing it. There is a small mark at the base too but when worn this cannot really be seen. There are no odours.
It measures:
Dress: Bust: 34" Under bust on empire line 28" Waist: 30" Hips: 36", Total length: 52". The measurements are of the lining which could be taken in or pieces added as this wouldnt be seen.
It is washed and aired.
You are more than welcome to come and try this dress on. To arrange please call 07817 855287. I would prefer this as the dress needs to fit perfectly and it is quite small. If you cant do this then we offer full refunds but would much prefer to get it right first time!
