1950s Barget yellow kitchen unit/table
This is a kitchen 2 piece set comprising of a unit and table. It dates from the 1950s/early 1960s. It is bright yellow and black.
The unit has a laminate top which is yellow with a black swirled pattern within. It has 2 drawers and a double cupboard on the front. These are also in the yellow design in a wall covering finish. Inside one drawer is a cutlery divider lined with a green cotton velvet. Inside the cupboards there is a shelf. All have silver metal handles. The whole unit is edged in black painted panels. The sides are yellow. It is made by Barget, London.
The table is covered in the yellow and black laminate. It is square and had black metal screw on legs.
The unit measures 35.5" tall, 42.5" long and 16.5" deep. The table measures 30" tall, 36" wide and 24" deep.
They are in great condition for their age. The unit has a few scuffs and scratches to the black paintwork. This could always be redone/touched up. It has a new back panel, base panel put in as well as the underside of one of the drawers. This cannot be seen and means it is more sturdy. The top of the unit is slightly darker than the doors due to its age and being used. However, as the front is not laminate it's is in very good condition with no rips or marks.
The table is lighter in the middle from where it's been scoured over years. One of the rubber feet is missing. Overall they are both in very good condition.
This is a collect only piece. We can of course help with a courier if needed.
