1950s Midwinter Nature Study tea service
This is a rare find. It is a Midwinter stylecraft tea service called Nature Study. It was designed in 1955 by Sir Terence Conran who later opend the influential store Habitat. It is in the classic 1950s fashion shape: curved and black and white.
It comprises of 4 tea cups and saucers, 4 side plates, 1 cake plate, sugar bowl and the tea pot.
The illustrations on the plates are of sketches of flowers, butterflies and dragonflies.
The cups are black with white insides. They measure 4" wide by 2.5" tall. The saucers are white.
The side plates measure 6", the cake plate is 8.5".
The teapot is fabulous, black with a white lid. It measures 5" tall including the lid and 8.5" wide including the handle.
The bowl measures 5" wide by 2.5" tall.
It is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks.
